Snownews
Snownews is a text mode RSS/RDF newsreader. It supports all versions of RSS natively and supports other formats via plugins. The program depends on ncurses for the user interface and uses libxml2 for XML parsing. ncurses must be at least version 5.0. It should work with any version of libxml2.

Snownews 1.4.4
This version is more stable. The Solaris Companion CD should be installed, otherwise you need the ncurses and libxml packages installed on your system.
Snownews 1.5.3
The version 1.5.3 does not support the italian and french locales (sorry), if you get errors running other locales, please report it. This version should be color enabled as you can read on the original page.
Snownews 1.5.6.1
This version was compiled with Solaris 10, to run this application install these packages first: SFWncur, SUNWlibms, SUNWlxml, SUNWzlib. Most of these packages are available with the Solaris Companion CD. The problems reported above are solved with this version.
